Sydney is the oldest city in Australia and the capital of the state of new south wales .The city is located at the mouth of the Parramatta River on the southeast cost of Australia and sits in one of the most beautiful harbors in the world .

It is recognized around the world for two prominent landmarks _ the world Sydney opera house and the Harbour Bridge . Completed in 1973 ,the Sydney opera house with its unique soaring roofs , is a symbol of modern architecture.

This is the place to see varieties of wildlife native to Australia _ the koala, platypus ,wombat , kangaroo and emu . And watch out for "Kangaroo crossing " signs on your way to the zoo –there are more than 60 different species of 

kangaroos in Australia ,some as tall as human and others. as small as a house cat
