This job takes us to the peak of the world. Located between Nepal and China, Mount Everest is the worlds highest mountain. Climbing this giant is no easy task. You have to be physically fit to endure the rigorous climb. You need equipment and supplies just to stay alive tents, proper boots and clothing , tools, and food. And you have to be prepared for unpredictable weather.

Now imagine being an Everest guide you are responsible for the safety of the of the people you are leading. And since they have paid you a big  fee to be their guide you want to make sure they succeed in reaching the summit . So, you have to balance the groups safety against their eagerness to 'conquer' Everest. What a job!

Guides usually bring sherpas along on the trip. "Sherpa" is a loose term used to refer to the native people of Nepal. Because they live in villages high in the Himalayas, Sherpas  are excellent guides they are very fit and know their way around the mountain.

Nothing about the job of an Everest guide is easy. When it comes to the most extreme jobs, this one leaves most of the other at base camp.
